Borussia Düsseldorf's figurehead is the professional team, which will also be competing in the 2024/25 season. With the double of the cup and German championship behind them, Danny Heister's head coach's team not only wants to defend the titles, but also attack again in the Champions League.

Timo Boll, Dang Qiu, Anton Källberg, Kay Stumper, Borgar Haug and Kamal Achanta defended the German championship title in front of 3,000 spectators and 100 Borussia fans travelling with them in Frankfurt with a magnificent 3:1 victory in the TTBL final of the 2023/24 season against perennial rivals 1.FC Saarbrücken. It was the 34th German championship title in history for the team from the NRW state capital. In 2021, the record champions made another entry in the history books: Borussia won the fourth treble in the club's history (no other German club has ever achieved this across all sports) and the titles 72 to 74. With the 2022, 2023 and 2024 championships and the 2024 Cup, the club has now won 78 national and international titles. The record champions even have more German championship titles than Bayern Munich (33).

The winning streak of Borussia's wheelchair team is also absolutely incredible: they became German team champions for the eighth time in a row in 2024.

Borussia made history in the youth sector last season: the U13, U15 and U19 boys and girls became West German champions. Never before has a club won all possible titles at this level.

Borussia Düsseldorf is very committed to amateur and youth football: seven men's teams, four women's teams, one girls' team and nine school and youth teams will play for the club in a wide variety of leagues in 2022/23. From the women's 3rd Bundesliga to the men's district league, 381 members (as of July 2022) are organised in the club.

The first women's team achieved something very special in the 2021/22 season when they celebrated promotion to the third highest division. With two absolute top players, the experienced Ugne Baskutyte and the 15-year-old Eireen Kalaitzidou, they mastered the challenges of the regional league and were thus able to successfully apply for the 3rd league. But the youngsters were also able to shine: The girls and boys in the U13 age group both secured the West German team championship. The female youth 15s did the same, but went one better by winning the German championship.

Borussia is also extremely active in disabled sports: the team in the first German wheelchair league won the German championship for the sixth time in a row in the 2021/22 season and the standing disabled team also won the title. Borussia is once again entering the new season with three teams in the "pedestrian" category. Visually impaired athletes will also find a place at Borussia to play the best sport in the world at the Showdown table and compete with other teams in the second Bundesliga.

Since 1988, Borussia Düsseldorf has also been organising the andro Kids Open (formerly the Children's Table Tennis Olympics) - Europe's largest children's and youth tournament, which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2019.

Until the coronavirus pandemic, up to 1,500 kids competed in this mammoth tournament every year in August. The youngsters aged 6-17 determined their winners in several age groups at around 80 tables. There is no other junior table tennis tournament in Europe comparable to the Kids Open! In 2020 and 2021, the andro Kids Open took place as part of the home summer and with many "Corona" adjustments and significantly fewer participants. After a slightly smaller edition in 2022, the tournament will once again be very well attended with 900 participants after a long period of restrictions. Borussia Düsseldorf is doing everything it can to ensure that the tournament in August 2023 will once again be a complete success.

Since 1994, the club has had its own table tennis centre, which houses a sports hotel, the ARAG CenterCourt multi-sports hall and the andro table tennis school. Borussia is also heavily involved in social causes, including projects such as "Borussia hilft", "SingPong", "Bunt gehts rund", the "Tischtennis-Pausenkönig" and "Düsseldorf spielt Tischtennis".
